What we hold, and why
Reign is operated by DarkRhino. This says what we store about the two kinds of people who use it, and about publishers we have written to but who never asked to hear from us.
If we emailed you and you never signed up
This is the part most privacy notices bury, so it is first. We hold your domain, an email address you published on your own site, and the URL of the page it was printed on. We also hold what we measured about that domain: the search terms it ranks for beside one of our merchants, its position, and whether the site carries affiliate links.
We rely on legitimate interest: you published a contact address so that people in your trade could reach you, and we are people in your trade with a specific, checkable reason to write — named in the message itself. We do not buy lists, we do not guess addresses from a name, and we do not use enrichment databases. How the recruiter works.
Your address is never passed to a merchant.
Merchants see your domain and the contact page you published — never the address. It was collected so we could write to you once, and that is all it is used for.
Opting out suppresses your address across the whole network, permanently. ⚠ That means we keep the address — suppression only works if we remember never to write to it again. If you would rather we erased it entirely, say so and we will, accepting that a later crawl could rediscover a published address.
If you have an account
Your name, email, website and the niches you chose. Then what the tracking engine records: clicks on your links, conversions a merchant reported against them, and the commissions and payouts that follow.
Your name, email, the domains you asked us to track, your offers and their terms, and your subscription status. Card details never reach us — Stripe takes the payment and we store only the subscription’s state.
When somebody follows a tracking link we record the time, the link and the user agent. The IP address is truncated before it is written down — the last block of an IPv4 address, and everything after the first three of an IPv6 one — so what we keep is a network of thousands of addresses rather than one. After 90 days, the point at which a click can no longer become a sale, the user agent is deleted too and only the counts remain. That is what makes attribution possible; it is not used for anything else.
Your rights, and who to ask
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to zac@darkrhino.com and we will answer within 30 days.
⚠ One honest limit: commission and payout records are financial records. We cannot delete money that moved, so those stay for as long as the law requires even after an account closes.
We measure how these pages are used — which ones are opened, which buttons are pressed — with PostHog, on their European servers. ⚠ It is configured to store nothing on your device: no cookie, no local storage, nothing that survives closing the tab. That is why this site asks you to accept nothing. The cost of that choice is ours, not yours: we cannot tell a returning visitor from a new one, so we simply do not know.
We use Stripe for payments, Resend for email, and PostHog to measure how these pages are used. All three process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not sell data to anyone, for any purpose.
